The Great Escalope Torta

Bite into a world of flavour with this exciting Great Escalope and Mexican inspired torta bun recipe.

  • 2 Servings
  • 1 pack The Vegetarian Butcher vegetarian soy-based schnitzel
  • 2 brioche burger buns
  • 0.5 avocado
  • 1 tbsp salsa
  • 1 tbsp sour cream
  • 0.25 red onion finely sliced
  • 1 lime juiced
  • 1 tsp caster sugar
  • 6 coriander seeds
  • washed lettuce
  • tomato sliced
  • gherkin Sour sliced

Preparation

  1. Heat the lime juice, sugar and coriander seeds till dissolved. Add sliced red onions. Chill and keep overnight in fridge till needed. These will keep for a few days.

  2. Pan Fry the Great Escalopes in 1 tbsp of vegetable oil for 2-3 minutes each side. Or oven cook at 200c for 8 minutes.

  3. Toast and load your buns with sour cream, lettuce, avocado, sliced escalope

  4. Queso, Gherkin, tomato and pickled mexican onions

  5. Buen Provecho!
